NewsHi Everyone and welcome to 2011. Our Information Centre has been popular over the summer months, with many visitors saying it was the best service they had received in NZ. Visitors have been well educated with what is available to do in the area, and we are well versed in local walks, Geology areas of interest, best coffee, fish, and restaurants. We can find accommodation in the area from Back Packers, to Motels, and B & B's that will take you breath away!! Dont forget to go through Te Hikoi, it was named as "Best Museum in NZ" for 2010. A must for everyone to see. Go to Special Events in the list to the left, to learn about this exciting new exhibition, and and view what events we have coming up. We have an ever increasing number of people leaving their E Mail addresses with us, so we can contact them with news and events. If you would like to be added to this list, please contact us. Dont forget to come and view our extensive range of books for sale. We stock a varied selection of GNS (Geological Nuclear Scientits) books and brochures. The most popular book (after the recent earthquakes) is "Rocked and Ruptered" - which tells about the faultlines, earthquakes and much more that moves and shakes here in NZ. Come and browse.
